Ever since September 2009, the first time I laid eyes on a skirt from Karla Spetic’s AW10 collection at the show room, I could not wait until we had it in our boutique. This skirt, named ‘Lily’, has finally arrived! I’ve been wearing it nearly everyday. I shouldn’t be biased but it’s my favorite piece from her current collection. The printed silk is so pretty, and the full-skirt is so much fun! Here it is in the March issue of Vogue Australia. The whole set is so cute!
Karla’s skirt is 100% silk and even the lining is silk! She is the only designer I know who uses silk to line all her garments. It’s incredible!
Here I am enjoying a cup of English Breakfast in a vintage Weiss shirt, vintage belt, the ‘Lily’ skirt and Marc Jacobs butterfly booties. This was the first time I wore them since their purchase in August last year.
Recently we got a side board for the shop and we put all the labels we stocked on it. We did not leave out our mini cupcakes!
This is the gorgeous Karla Spetic herself. She is an amazing designer, who pays meticulous attention to her cuts (many of her tailored pieces are professionally made by a tailor), fabrics (all her garments are silk, wool, cashmere or cotton) and the make (all garments are made in Australia)
I cannot help but see the resemblance between the beautiful designer herself (in the photo above) and the prettily painted girls on the skirt. The Croatian designer is a stunner. She is creative and her clothes are so feminine and so wearable. We are so lucky to be her biggest stockist in Melbourne!
That skirt really IS beautiful CC! Even though fashion has moved in a very tough glam rocker direction with lots of structure and shoulders and body con, I am still a total sucker for a full girly pretty skirt! I really love it! (and those MJ shoes are amaaaazing. I want them so bad)
I have always admired your style even at uni, but you are really outdoing yourself on this blog! I love all your outfits! X
they are pretty! i can feel the softness just from looking at the photo :)
The skirt looks so delicate! I can she how shiney it is!
Yes it’s probably my favourite from her AW10 collection. Will cherish it for many years to come!
[…] I wore my Ralph Lauren jacket, my birthday present, for the first time; and my one-shouldered wool Cesare dress from Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, also for the first time. The necklace and belt are vintage. The Omero polka dot stockings are from the boutique because my cheapo nylon ones which were brand new ripped when I tried to pull them up. And you would have seen these butterfly booties from Marc Jacobs already here. […]
