If you were a little intrigued (let’s face it, who wouldn’t be with that print!) by my CHORUS Hashtag shirt in [THIS POST], then rejoice and read on.

Why is the print named ‘Hashtag‘? I’m so glad you asked. I was curious too. Another designer friend of CHORUS, Maria Montes was fascinated by two very prominent symptoms of the digital era- ‘selfies’ and oversharing. From a far, the print looks energetic and colourful, almost botanical; but up close, you realise that faces fix their gaze on you (the selfies), and the pink motifs are in fact female figures (the oversharing).

I paired these fun pants with this dream of a top by another fabulous Melbourne label, KUWAII. It can be worn back to front as well- the V neck with a delicate tie gives it a completely different look. See what I mean [HERE].

This Hashtag print is an excellent reminder for me to aim for balance. Being a total extrovert, I really have to watch myself from oversharing. I am always wearing my heart on my sleeve. Or in this case, naked ladies on my legs…

Over the years, after countless mistakes, I have learnt to be a little more sensitive about what to share, who to share it with, and when. I’m still working on it though.

These days, you read more about my struggles than my stilettos. With 2 little ones to run after, who has the time for stilettos? And it indeed would be a struggle if I tried running after my toddler in stilettos…

But whilst the kids were being babysat by grandparents, we sneaked out and snapped a few shots at this beauty of a location. And with a view like this, I wouldn’t blame you if you took a selfie, or two…
