A recent trip to the picturesque Greek islands and the Amalfi Coast is what inspired Thurley’s latest Resort 16 collection “Aegean Dreaming”. Designer Helen O’Connor even had the tonnd, tanned bod to prove it.

There is a Thurley dress for every event this party season. The lady-like, long-sleeved, midi lace dresses are perfectly demure for the Races. The cleverly constructed frocks complete with floral motifs, sheer netting and light-as-air tulle will wow at weddings, wineries and work events alike. Just add legs.

I’m especially drawn to the tweed story, in particular the pink version. The raw hems and fringing are compulsory in fashion right now. And don’t get me started on the blue and white garments…I can just see it: those alabaster walls and cobalt domes of Santorini, perched high against the deep blue waves of the Aegean Sea. Absolutely ravishing.

Some clothes, you bring on holidays; and some, take you away…
