Vintage Men’s Jacket, Jewelry & Clutch// Natalie Chapman Jumpsuit // YSL Belt // Sonia Rykiel Sandals
Upon seeing this Natalie Chapman “Helena” jumpsuit, I felt an immediate affinity with the designer. Big billowy pant legs, sheer panels, sleek silhouette, I pictured it teamed with a businesslike jacket. Something structured, preferably with pinstripes. But I didn’t have one in the wardrobe, and neither did hubby. So I searched high and low and finally found this one last week in the local op shop.
It was only later I discovered that Natalie Chapman designs her pieces with a woman who glides from desk to dinner in mind. In fact, the description for this jumpsuit says that it is “Perfect to wear to work on it’s own or pair with a jacket.” What a coincidence! Guess that’s the power of great design!
Just as garments are imbued with their designer’s ‘DNA’, we also bear our Creator’s signature, for we are all “made in His image”. We have qualities such as mercy and compassion, we have a sense of justice, we desire fellowship and we yearn for eternity. These are also the hallmarks of great design!
That is a stunning jumpsuit on you Cecylia! :) And it does pair perfectly with that blazer, definitely a practical design for work and play! :)
I liked your thoughts on great design too! If you think about it, we really are all little miracles!
