As the year draws to a close let’s get a little reflective. 2014 has been the most challenging year of my life. But despite the trials, challenges, and heartaches, it has also brought me amazing friendships, opportunities and experiences.

I’m so thankful for new friends I met this year who have become such an integral part of my life, as well as renewed old friendships that have practically cemented their status as family. Yeah, you know who you are. You have blessed me in ways I never even thought was possible.
People used to warn me that social life ends once you have kids. But thanks to my supportive family, I have been able to attend countless events and go on date nights with hubby whilst they tirelessly babysat Winston. I’m forever indebted to you. Thank you for saving my sleep, sanity and stress levels.
I’ve never had so many prayers answered in one year. Big and small, God heard them all. Relationships have been restored, bad habits broken (I eat much more sensibly now), illnesses healed, our housing situation sorted (our old place was miraculous sold and the new place was purchased just in the nick of time) and I’ve survived the first year of motherhood!
But what I’m most grateful for is your support. If it weren’t for your visits and comments I would have given up blogging a long time ago. It hasn’t been easy juggling life as a first time mom, a vet as well as keeping a high maintenance online diary. And as you’ve seen, this year, alongside the wardrobe acquisitions, celebrity sightings and culinary conquests, I’ve been sharing my life’s struggles with you. I hope that through these stories, you have received comfort, joy and encouragement. For none of us lead perfect lives, yet despite our imperfections, we are all so dearly loved.
So thank you for doing life with me this year. I can’t wait to share 2015 with you. Happy new year lovelies!
You summed it up so well Cecylia! We are not perfect, but we are loved and that is the important thing. Motherhood is a crazy but rewarding life. You are a beautiful, strong woman and you’ve done a wonderful job this year! It’s so good to have lots of friends and family around to help with baby, gives us some time to build ourselves back up so we can carry on helping baby to grow! :)
I hope 2015 is a magical year for you – that you get a lot more naps, a lot less tears and lots and lots of love! :)
Sounds like you’ve had a great year! Challenges are good and can make up stronger.
Hope you’re 2015 is just as good :)
