Someone once told me something I’ll never forget. “You can make yourself happy simply by smiling.” A smile is infectious, both to the wearer and its recipient. It makes us feel good and I don’t know if you’ve realized, also does wonders to our complexion! Try it!

If you have a set of perfect dentition or pearl whites you have no excuse not to smile. All the time. But for the rest of us, there is Smile Brilliant. I recently had the chance to try this bespoke teeth whitening product from the States when Smile Brilliant sent me a complimentary teeth whitening kit. I was skeptical at first but there’s no denying it, the result was instant, and brilliant.

Creating my very own teeth whitening trays was fun because I got to play with some blue coloured hygienic putty. I then sent my molds back to the lab and within a week, my custom-made whitening trays were delivered. The 2 step whitening process involved applying a desensitizing gel into the trays and holding them in place for a while, followed by the whitening gel.

All up it took me an hour and a half during which I read my latest issues of Vogue Australia. You can do it for longer, but I got too drooly and hungry. I was actually a little shocked to see how white my teeth became. They were ivory like my wedding dress! Of course if you go ahead and drink coffee or in my case, eat chocolate cake straight away, your pearly whites will fade. But the awesome thing is that there are more whitening gels in your kit for you to simply whiten again. I was so impressed with Smile Brilliant I even ordered a kit for my Mom!

Now I realize I cannot attend another fashion event without first applying Smile Brilliant! I can just see it… “across the sea of street style photographers snapping away, she trotted past, well-heeled, clutching her vintage bag and flashing that brilliant smile…”
