Last night I headed to the KOOKAI ‘Somewhere in Paris’ Winter 2012 launch runway at Luminare. Roof-top party, French themed, needless to say, it was phenomenal. Stunning glamazons were ubiquitous, all dolled up and ready for the show. It was smashing to see my blogger pals (Meagan, Irish and Jess, above above) as well as some other pretty faces, like Amber Renae (above, right). There was so much Laurent-Perrier I’m surprised there wasn’t a champagne bath! And the canapés! (You know how much I love food) Cleverly constructed and beckoned to tease our taste buds no end.
So now that you’ve feasted your eyes, let the show begin! I’ve selected a few of my favourite looks to share with you, let me know what you think! And candy for the one who can guess which look is my favourite*.
Now breathe…would you believe it if I told you that this is only a fraction of the looks featured? KOOKAI AW12 offered the modern girl with a myriad of utterly wearable pieces including leather leggings, fur trimmings, day dresses in body-con shapes and evening frocks with a fearless slit. I did get the impression that the motto of the collection is to ‘Let the body do the talking‘. Being true to its Melbourne roots, noir was the dominating accent although texture cemented itself as the key ingredient in creating a slick yet enthralling outfit.
I bet you’re wondering what I’m wearing. :) Yet another colourful dress, you say! Oui oui! It may look like a jazzed up nurse dress, but I found it in an opshop, tailor-made, no label, just like this one. And I’m still deciding whether to keep my hair short or grow it out…What do you say?

Great photos! I love the first printed dress peeking out from the layers! :)
Your dress is so pretty too :)
It is coming into winter so might be warmer with long hair? hehe! I am missing length in my hair and desperately wanting it to grow faster, it’s at an awkward length at the moment, just at my shoulders.
