I’m sure you’re aware of my Taylor Tomasi-Hill obsession from my Facebook and Twitter updates. According to one of my Facebook devotees, I should start a “TTH appreciation club”. But I’m sure that someone out there has started that already. So instead, I’ll move on with my girl crush. This time, to an Italian beauty: Eleonora Carisi.
A streetstyle magnet, a genius of creating colourful, original and fabulous outfits, Eleonora’s CV is rather extraordinary. She is the designer of ‘What’s Inside You‘, has a store called You!, is a stylist for music videos and has a splendid blog called Jou Jou Villeroy. Eleonora is a regular at Milan Fashion Week as a IT Girl for Grazia.it and is working on projects for Italian brands including Diesel, Pennyblack and Galeries Lafayette. I caught up (by that, I mean, over cyberspace) with Eleonora recently, confessed my undying lovea for her style, and she was so gracious in answering a few of my questions despite her globe-trotting schedule. Turns out we have a few similarities…
What’s a typical day for you? Please tell us about your blogging, boutique and styling aspects.
First of all ,the first thought is my shop, I drive my car to, thinking about the new collections and to take care of my clients. After that if I have time I concentrate myself into the blog, discovering fresh news, talking about new trends, events and my passion: photography. Blogging is a second job or maybe my first? No one knows where this will take me.
Describe your style, how do you look so stylish all the time?
First of all thank you! You have to see me all days when I wake up late and I have to run to my shop ;)…I think it’s natural, when I wear something it has to be something that make me feel confident. I have worked in the fashion market for 10 years now. I started as an shop assistant when I was 15 then I opened my shop at 20 years old. I love to combine colours, texture and mix everything, sometimes in a weird way. [And of course it’s fine for Italy!]
Who are your favourite fashion designers? Do you have any muses?
At the moment my inspiration arrive by the Italian 50’s movies with Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren, the real Italian [style] with natural tones and fluttered round skirts. I love [being] Italian but I prefer the woman of the past, their elegance was unique.
What are you favourite trends which you are sporting right now?
Pastels and fruity / vegetables texture! I am Italian don’t forget!
What do you plan to get up to in 2012?
I started with a lot of work for the blog and events..I did a shooting with Marie Claire and Elle China, and I’m planning a trip to London with Diesel for a new store opening. I am new on Vice Magazine team and I had proposed to write a fashion colum on two important website in Italy ( but it’s a surprise)..and I’m still working for Grazia.it , my family….so I need to wake up early to do what I love.
I am so inspired by Eleonora, by her passion and drive to create, to style and to write. Molto grazie bella for taking the time to answer my questions, wishing you the very best for 2012! xx

She started a store at 20? Wow! definitely an inspiration! I like how stylish she looks in every photo – that dress in the last one looks so fun, it made me giggle. Great interview :)
Wish I had her style and ability to do so much in such a short time!
