Since last Thursday, and for the next couple of days, Melbourne fashionistas are giving their wardrobes a serious workout by attending a plethora of stylish events at the most exciting fashion week of the year, L’Oreal Fashion Festival. Melbourne is being painted bright red as we speak. I can still hear the runway douf douf notes, picture the models’ slender frames and remember all of the fabulous fashion bunch. As for me, I had to jet off to a bestie’s wedding the day after the launch so all of my outspoken closet choices will just have to wait a few months, until Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week :)
I had to work the day of the Opening of LMFF, so had to choose an outfit in 5 minutes and this is what I came up with – Pink and Red. You may recall the Arnsdorf top in this post…I was interviewed on the night to described my style in 4 words: ‘Quirky Elegance. Very colourful.’ Here are some momentos from the night…
I’ve never worn the same pair of shoes in 2 consecutive blog posts (scroll down to see the previous one), but I am a little head over heels (no pun intended) over my new Habbot Tightrope laceups. Not joking. On the launch night, I ran for a photographer, then jumped into the air for another, all because these heels are so comfortable! Designed in Melbourne, made in Italy, Habbot shoes allows me to express my eclectic style without any comfort compromise.
Oh, you wanna know what’s in the clutch? As I came straight from work, it contains a carefully folded Lisa Ho uniform dress I was wearing during the day :) As well as a lippie and my wallet…
So dear friends, by the time you’re reading this post I am over 7 thousand kilometres away in a land far far away, where mystic ancient ruins and exotic culinary delights are becoming the staples in my time table. If you would like to be updated on my Cambodian travel shenanigans, come see me on Facebook and Twitter! Have a wonderful week lovelies!
Where: the LMFF Opening Party
Wear: Arnsdorf top, vintage skirt (similar one here), Escada clutch, Habbot Tightrope shoes, vintage jewellery and belt.

Love the pink and red! What a beautiful outfit it doesn’t look like you’ve organised it at the last minute – I wish I looked that good with only 5 minutes to get ready!
Hope you are enjoying your trip :)
