QLD floods/Great quote/Bezoar Cashmere garments in the boutique ‘Cecylia’
No doubt your sight and hearing have been inundated with the devastating effects of the deathly floods in Queensland. It is distressing for the soul to see footages of people losing their loved ones and their homes. I am living safely in a place, unharmed by waters and yet the citizens of Queensland are suffering – emotionally, physically and spiritually. I wish I could fly up right away and get working on the drainage system or give aid for any sick animals. But unfortunately I’m bound by work in Melbourne and the money I need to get up there would just be better to go straight to the flood victims.
So instead, our e-boutique is going to donate 10% of all January sales to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. This way, together, we can make a difference. Of course you can also donate directly here.
“The flood waters will recede, the famine will end, the sun will shine tomorrow, and I will always be here to take care of you”. -Charlie Brown to Snoopy
Well done on that generous idea! I still don’t have an income so am going to try to donate some clothes to the Alice Euphemia garage sale.. or if I can’t do that, I’ll maybe BUY some cheap stuff at the sale… either way, will help the flood victims if I can…
What a great thing to do! :-)
I will check out you boutique ASAP :-)
Thanks for dropping by!
I live in Brisbane, on high ground fortunately, and it is absolutely devastating to see what’s happening in South East QLD at the moment… It’s so lovely of you to do this, I’ll definitely be checking out your shop!
What a lovely idea, it’s so sad to see what’s happening in Queensland!
the queensland flood is definitely saddening. they’re getting help and will be fine soon!
absolutely agree with “you must be the change you wish to see in the world”. to change the world, you should start by taking little steps <3
