As a proud stockist of Damselfly, I attended Christianna Heideman’s 10 year birthday bash at her Melbourne-based showroom. It was the night of nights, I literally called it the ‘Best Party of 2010’. Christianna and her event manager Sarah Gonsalves are two very talented ladies. I’m not joking. It was so well-planned- the food, the crowd, the drinks…and the extra bits! Think Candy floss stall, frozen yoghurt stall (Igloo Zoo), a photo booth, a wicked dance floor and even a skate board ramp all under the one roof. These, of course, are just a few of the jewellery designer’s favourite things. She’s ace on the skateboard too!

Christianna really has the grunge glam down pat. The Damselfly show room is a tomboy girl’s dream- full of stunning accessories, filled with vintage interior decor and plenty of fresh flowers, has spikey antlers and even 2 pet fish!

This is Damselfly’s 10th birthdayt bash, Christianna started her label at the tender age of 18 and I have been her admirer since I was a teen. I have lusted after her jewellery since my days at Third Millennium. I never imagined the day I would meeting the designer of my favourite Australian jewellery label, (which happened here) let along attending her party. Christianna was the original jewellery designer with the whimsical touch. Her pieces go with everything and are definitely worth keeping for seasons to come.

As you can see, I brought a date- my pet pooch Theodore. Christianna is in a silk jumpsuit, her belt is made from a chain of her own bracelets (Damselfly of course). Love her clogs!

This is the ‘I Hate Myself for Loving You’ range – in our boutique right now! My favourite is the bejewelled shoulder capelet (on mannequin). No need to worry about dry cleaning your precious embellished dresses- just add a detachable bit of sparkle to any outfit, and you’re set to be the belle of the party.

This was my favourite ‘thing’ from Christianna’s show room- the miniature vintage clothes line!!! What a great piece to show off her amazing agate necklaces.

As you can see, Theodore really got around. I lost count how many people wanted to have photos taken with him. This is what happens when you have a really good looking son.
