Did I mention that everyone in Paris is so ridiculously chic? Every time I go there I feel under-dressed. And let me prove it to you with these images below.
Ok so I found the Dries Van Noten boutique, not just because of the big overhead banner but because the beautiful prints in the window caught my eyes. I’m in my Manoush wool dress which is backless and so I’ve borrowed hubby’s H&M jacket as a cape. You probably can’t see his Yeti brooch from Lenko so you can see it better here. On my finger is a Mawi dynamite ring and I’m carrying my bag-enir from Paris- the Chloe Darla bag. I took advantage of the high Australian Dollar and bought my favourite bag from the Chloe boutique on Avenue Montagne. There were so many customers there, most styles were sold out I was very lucky that the latest style (the Darla) was still available in colours for me to chose! The shoes have a story too. I was wearing my trusty Repetto flats one day when rain greeted me and my feet so to get my feet out of my soggy shoes I had to buy a pair of ‘walking shoes’- these snakeskin boots.
I was meeting designers at show rooms and the one with Felder Felder and Alexander Wang was unreal. Everyone was so chic, take a look at these ladies.
Now take a look at me- see what I mean? Totally daggy and unattractive compared to them.
Here’s another example of a fashionable duo. And everyone’s so good about having their photos taken by strangers.
I didn’t quite catch her name but she was my favourite ‘look’. Love the caramel, gold and coral shades. Such tanned and toned legs too! Chic Italians who stay at The Ritz…
And there”s little old me, on my way to pay tribute to the Musee D’Orsay. Guess I’ll have to up the ante a little more on my next trip.
Which StreetChic lady do you like the most?
