Recently I watched the hilarious Pixar film ‘Up.’ I was moved to the edge of my seat in laughter and tears. I cried after seeing what had happened to Carl Fredrickson’s wife and I laughed pretty much every moment thereafter. I was flipping through a Vogue magazine today and saw the Christian Dior ‘Miss Dior Cherie’ perfume advertisement.
What a splendid picture. It is luxurious eye candy. Model Maryna Linchuk even has lollipop-like legs. If only I could get this picture as a postcard, I would end my pen conversation with ‘love, licks and lollipops.’ =) The mood the photograph creates is so light and dreamy. Paris, the most romantic and beautiful city in the world. I love how the Eiffel Tower parallels Maryna’s legs and the how it points to the same direction as the helium balloons.
The Miss Dior commercial was directed by the fashion muse/film director Sofia Coppola. Who knows, perhaps she had seen UP before she produced this perfume ad. Or maybe UP was inspired by Cherie.
Spot the difference? The house does not have legs. If you have not seen the movie yet, you should hurry UP.
oh what fun

I haven’t seen the movie. Love the balloons though!
It’s probably my Movie-of-the-year, almost equal to Ice Age 3
