Recently I did a random search on ‘Chihuahua’ on Ebay and an aeroplane landed at our door. There were so many copies of ‘Beverley Hills Chihuahua’ ( which is a very cute movie and I highly recommended renting it on DVD to warm you through a cold or lonely night =) but what caught my sight was a blue plush dog aeroplane bed. The seller recommended the bed for Chihuahuas and Maltesers- single bed though. I managed to win a bid and it was delivered within 3 days! It is such a cute dog bed! There is a yellow propeller and a pair of wings with dog paw prints. My favourite is the ‘window’ which has ‘odometers’, a ‘clock’ and ‘thermostat’. The lining of the bed is removable and the whole bed can be machine-washed!
You can guess who the bed was originally bought for. I can fit two Theodores in it! Here he is cozing up to a purple sock toy.
Our dear old Hermes thought the bed was great too. I think the bed is more of his size. Being a senile mutt, he does not realise that he is flying the plane the wrong way around…
Theodore and his temporarily-adopted brother Chilli are happily sharing the bed, but not the purple toy.
I don’t think you have met the lagomorph member of our family- Poppy, the adopted Orange Rex bunny. She has the most gorgeous fur- it is softer than velvet. I think Poppy prefers this bed to her outdoor hutch… Thank God she did not wet the bed.
My conclusion is that none of our pets can fly a plane- they are either facing the rear or the side of the aeroplane! But it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. And the seller was right, ‘it will continue to bring many smiles upon your face.’
