Everyone knows Kate Bosworth as Orlando Bloom’s ex, the girl with heterochromia (Kate has different coloured eyes) and the beach babe who debuted in Blue Crush. But this beautiful actress has come a long way since her first screen appearance. She has added The Rules of Attraction, Wonderland, Beyond the Sea, Win a Date with Ted Hamilton, The Bee Season, Superman Returns and 21 ( one of my favourite movies- she looks amazing in it!) to her resume. But her most impressive facet is her style. Miss Bosworth may have been the sweet girl-next-door, but she is now a Designer Favourite, Front Row Attendee and an icon for many fashionistas and it is not difficult to see why. She looks good in everything. She WEARS her clothes. Her clothes never wear her.
Who else can pull off this glittery confetti number without looking like a clown? Her Prada shoes complement her dress perfectly. Although they are colourful (I love the clear plastic straps!) but she just has the ability to ooze sophistication without screaming for attention. Not everyone can throw on a vintage Chanel frock that contains every shade of the colour spectrum. I love her tousled golden locks and the turquoise eyeshadow around her feline eyes. I still maintain that if you have a nice face and a fine figure, you can pull anything off. This is the perfect example.
Here is Super Kate in a D&G mini dress from the 2008 Fall collection. I can tell she definitely likes art. Her angelic face balances the large flower print harmoniously. She kept her makeup natural and her heels plain. Good move.
Is that a Hummer following her in the background?
I love the juxtaposition of this gleaming frock against the Louis VII furnishings. Her fashion sense certainly transcends time and trends. Kate has impeccable taste and she can turn any outfit into a masterpiece, here she is looking both seductive and sweet. I was a bit upset when she and Orlando broke up. But Kate continues to bloom on her own.
Wow I love the first 2 outfits! Although to be honest I’m not a fan of Kate’s I don’t know why tho, I’ve never seen her in anything. I’ll have to watch 21 at some stage =)
Are the top shoes Marc Jacobs?
Jo, Kate’s wearing Pierre Hardy shoes with that shimmering vintage Chanel frock.
Oh! =( I was sure I recognised them as a pair I saw in a magazine. do you know if Marc Jacobs designed a similar pair?
I think maybe they were last season, they were colourful like her ones but they had a heart shaped into them =) I just checked Marc Jacob’s website but can only find the most recent collection.
Actually looking at the shoes again, they’re definitely not the ones I saw, the ones I’m talking about had a platform.
Really? You’ll have to show me them hehehe =)
I’ll try to find them =)
