Ladies, I’m sure you all know Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin, but have you heard of a young shoe legend by the name of Nicholas Kirkwood? Manolo is a Spanish-Czech who has collected more awards than you can shake an over-rated SJP’s stiletto at. As for Jimmy Choo, people only know Tamara Mellon because the Malaysian sold 50% of his business and went to design couture shoes in the dark. The French designer Christian Louboutin, who has patented his red-lacquered soles, used to sneak out during school when he was 12, to watch show-girls dance.
