A few weeks ago I went to Premiere, Melbourne’s boutique trade show event for international and Australian labels at the Royal Exhibition Building. It reminded me so much of our previous buying trips to the City of Lights, I feel a little Paris-sick. This is why I wore my Vionnet heels (last seen here), one of longest-established French haute-couture houses that started back in the 20s by Madame Vionnet who transformed the way women dressed by rescuing them from their corsets into elegant bias-cut dresses (which she invented) that showed off their natural forms. She was dubbed “Queen of the bias cut” and “the architect among dressmakers“. I am so pleased that the couture House has been revamped by head designer Rodolfo Paglialunga and will do everything I can to support Vionnet. It is truly legendary!

Outfit: Twenty8 Twelve silk jacket, available here, vintage Citi blouse (see a similar one by Robert Rodriguez here), vintage Sporty Eight skirt, vintage earrings, bag and belt, Giuseppe Zannotti for Vionnet shoes. More Vionnet shoes (ON SALE) are available here :)
It was so great to catch up with the gorgeous Rebecca McGeoch, designer of Gasparre Cashmere. Her next winter luxe cashmere collection is so chic and wearable I cannot wait for AW12! Oh, poor Theodore wasn’t allowed in…how I wish that Melbourne could become more pet-friendly like Paris one day, soon!
Have an awesome weeekend y’all! I’m working as a vet on both Sat’day and Sunday and catching up with friends afterwards. To stay connected, come to my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter where I will tickle your fancy with adorable shenanigan updates. I promise.
Adieu!

Every woman wear opaque tights. We all own a couple of pairs which faithfully hug our lower half and keep us warm in the winter months. But how many of us are daring enough to try coloured or patterned patterns, and wear them well? A funky pair of stockings can really transform an outfit. You can tell some one’s personality by looking at their tights. My favourite tights are opaque tights with little black dots all over them. I think they’re very sweet. I have compiled a series of gorgeous legging photos for you. Hope you become inspired enough to throw on some crazy ones and hit the streets with a smile on your face.

Tell me, how many times have you seen a pretty young lady in blue tights? Thumbs up for her bravery for not being afraid to look like someone from AVATAR. Love the neckline detail of her LBD too.

Holly Garber, the stylish PR person for young Australian designers Marnie Skillings and Josh Goot sitting pretty in Sydney. I adore this outfit! Is it her Alexander Wang jumper or those Givenchy sandals or those hot hot sheer leggings? They’re going on my lust list right now.

Cuteness! The polka-dots on her stockings remind me of Maltezers. She looks a little like Jessica Hart. Nice blue frames and red bag.

Here is the gorgeous Rachel of That’s Chic. Sitting under the autumn sun in O.C wearing a vintage Ralph Lauren wool blazer, American Apparel skirt, Urban Outfitters tights and Giuseppe Zanotti wedges. Her tights are rad!

Ah! These are what I’m talking about! She is wearing my favourite stockings! Opaque with small dots. These are the cutest and safest transition from the traditional black tights to something more funky and fun. Big ticks for her bow front blouse and leather shorts and the Chloe Edith bag.

Gorgeous gold jacket and pouch bag! But what caught my eye are her 2 tone stockings! So chic and unique! You go girl!

Yes I’ve saved the best for last! What a beauty! Love her cheeky smile and of course these gorgeous stockings! Love love love! Which one has been your favourite?
