After all the talk about decluttering and downsizing my wardrobe (if you have no idea what I’m on about, check out my last post featuring my interview with Dr Declutter, Carol Martyn, and her top 10 tips on how to declutter), I started clearing out my closet. This cable knit cardigan almost went into the donate bag until I decided to try it on back to front. It was simply too cozy to toss. Plus, it had the exact same buttons as this vintage skirt I scored when I was heavily pregnant (I guestimated the size).
I am far from having successfully decluttered my wardrobe (#storyofmylife) but I have at least stopped acquiring new clothes by having an op-shop fast. I’m taking baby steps.
In the meantime, I’ll keep rummaging the closet to figure out new ways to wear my old clothes. But in all seriousness, I think the best thing for me to do is to down-size physically so that I can fit into all of my clothes again…because only then can I perform a proper stock-take of my wardrobe inventory and down size appropriately.
Wish. Me. Luck!

That skirt is stunning on you and the cardigan works so perfectly with it, and worn backwards it looks great :)
I need to declutter seriously too – I’m waiting until baby boy is at least 12 months old before I will be up to trying things on to help the process. I threw out a lot in pregnancy and soon afterwards with the toddler and I regret a lot of it so I’m going more slowly this time!
