Giddy up peeps! I’m excited to head to an exciting Melbourne Cup Spring Racing Brunch tomorrow. Hosted by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria), the exclusive racing-themed brunch will take place in the elegant ballroom of one of Melbourne’s most iconic heritage mansions, the beautiful Como House and Garden!

Whilst we are busy stuffing our faces with scrumptious canapés, a live acoustic duet on the croquet lawn will sweetly serenade us. The weather tomorrow is looking promising too! Oh, and there will be a very special guest- the 2016 Melbourne Cup, who is available for selfies. It’s made of pure 18 carat gold and is worth $175,000. I’ve told my son, who is a Star Wars fan, that ‘it’s gold and shiny, just like C3PO‘.

Although the event’s dress code is ‘Neat Casual’, I couldn’t resist flat-laying some race-worthy accessories to get you in the mood for Spring Racing. All you need is a dress!
