A little while ago I had an opportunity to visit UNIQLO. I call it an ‘opportunity’ because my busy schedule doesn’t give me much time to go shopping. But one day, I met my dear friend Marianne (of Esme & the Laneway fame) for coffee and afterwards, Winston fell asleep in the pram on our way to the car. So instead of trying my luck with transferring the napping toddler into the car seat, I decided to walk around Chadstone Shopping Centre The Fashion Capital instead.
What does one do when one has 1.5 hours up one’s sleeve? Get a haircut and go shopping!
It wasn’t long before I ended up in UNIQLO. I love shift dresses even when I’m not pregnant, so I was stoked to find this checked navy number complete with pockets, and oozing 60s flair. It was the last one on the rack, and it was in my size! Sometimes we just have to seize the opportunities that come our way :)
Shopping opportunities aside, sometimes we only have a split-second to make a decision about whether or not we should help, care, or love someone. These may be seem like more costly opportunities, but they’re often the most worthwhile. So let’s not let these precious opportunities pass us by- for they are what gives our lives the most meaning.
