My Mom has an uncanny ability to sense what I need. I never told her, or anyone, for that matter, about wanting a pair of white trainers. Maybe she could tell that I am becoming more like a minimalist by the minute, or that I am forever zooming about on my feet? Perhaps she read my “March Into March” blog post and thought she’d giver me a boost? In any case, I shrieked with glee when Mom handed me these sleek Puma trainers. They go with everything from studded denim jeans to knife-pleat midi skirts to black tuxedo suits, although the latter makes reminds me footballers attending red carpet events in the 90s. But hey, times have changed. “Ath-leisure” is here to stay.
Seeing that the Puma trainers are not going to stay white forever, I decided to do a little ‘tribute’ with the help of a few of my favourite things: magazines, vintage jewels and Dior beauty products.
It’s going to be a challenge, but I will endeavor to keep my white sneakers pristine for as long as possible. But if puddles, dirty paws and people playing tootsie come at me, at least there are baby wipes.
In other news, thank you for all for entering the DIOR AND I fashion film competition. Congratulations to our 5 winners: Anna, Cathleen, Chloe, Jennifer and Joy! Your tickets are coming your way soon! Enjoy the movie lovelies!
