As mentioned in this post, I had the privilege to attend an autumn/winter runway, ‘Style Review‘ show hosted and styled by one of the most renowned personal stylists in Melbourne, Style With Cindy. I first met Cindy (above) 2 years ago at a fashion seminar and over the past 2 years have heard tremendous things about her, so it was an absolute honour to see her transforming powers at work. Having helped over 4000 ladies with their wardrobes and looks, you will see below that a large proportion of them have frocked and flocked to Cindy’s biannual event at Leonda by the Yarra.
As I sat and watched the runway show, a fond sense of nostalgia permeated me, I was reminded of the runway shows also featuring real women I hosted in my former boutique. But what fascinated me the most, as the night progressed, is the fact that Cindy not only transformed these ladies’ looks and wardrobes, she has lifted their self-esteem and renewed their lives!
Yes a personal stylist detoxes your closet, takes you shopping and advises you on the best colours, garments and accessories to wear, but most of us probably don’t realise the extent to which these stylists care about their clients. Their expertise does not just stop at the fashion pages or at their clients’ appearances, they may also take on the role of counsellor, life coach, and most importantly, a good listener. A good friend. What their clients gain, is not only a better wardrobe, improved style, but also bolstered self esteem and enhanced body image.
The ladies below have been styled by Cindy who have helped renew their personal confidence. I’ve selected some of my favourite looks from the night, which are your favourites?
Cindy has helped reshape women’s lives for 11 years, I can just imagine how much more confident, happier and stylish her clients have become. I have many personal stylist friends who also refine their clients, both physically and emotionally, and I applaud you all.
All the photos are coutesty of personal stylist/photographer, the extraordinary Meagan Harding. Thank you so much Kyra and Cindy for having me. It was a pleasure to sit front row with Iolanthe, Sarah and Michelle.
Hope you’re having a beautiful weekend! xx
