So who’s coming to the Stonnington Spring Fashion events? I have a double-pass to give away to the runway show on next Thursday night. Just leave a comment and let me know if you would like to join me and the fashion elite.
And how have you all been? Hope you’ve been enjoying the glorious sunshine! I’ve been working a bit at the vets lately. You may recall seeing me on last Saturday’s Herald Sun about how hubby and I work long hours. The only reason why we can do what we do is because we are so passionate about our work. So much so that sometimes I have to skip events because they coincide with work. For example, next Tuesday night I will be missing out on The Puppet Masters & Their Millinery Marionettes Soiree held by Kangan Batman Tafe, see my post on a milinery soiree there last year. I was really hoping to get equipped for the Races which I’ll be attending for the first time in my life and learn from the best in their craft. Oh well, maybe you can go and tell me all about it! You can purchase your tickets here.
And another event I’m missing out on next Tuesday is one to help raise funds for an endangered native animal. Ok, I’m going to put my vet hat on and inform you of some fauna news. Now I’m sure you all know that the Tasmanian Devil is one of Australia’s endangered marsupials, but did you know that someone is actually doing something to protect them?
Adam Cullen, the artistic inspiration and namesake of The Cullen hotel has painted a one-off Tassie Devil artwork to be auctioned off in support of the Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal. Guests will be invited to offer silent bids and preview the painting before the public. I cannot wait to go see the painting in real life after next Tuesday (we have until November) at the Cullen where we can make further bids or donations. All money raised from the sale of the work and donations will go directly to fund research for saving the Tassie Devil. These little cuties need our support, so they don’t end up becoming extinct…

Hope you can make it guys! Have a gorgeous weekend! I’m off to more vet work, catching up with designers and playing piano for a chorale concert!
