After having a celebrational dinner with my besties, one of them just got engaged! Congratulations Chrispy! We headed down to the SPOOK magazine party which was held in near-complete darkness (so you could barely recognize anyone), and was deafening (my ear drums were yelling for help the whole time we were there). I didn’t understand why the band spent an hour tuning (it takes a whole orchestra less than 5 minutes to tune, but a 4 piece band needed an hour, don’t ask), all of our fashionable friends had gone home by the time we rocked up. So it was pretty disappointing really.
But we made the most out of it and got a few shoots. The dress I am wearing is an absolute vintage favourite, purchased from my dear friend Emma of Harlem, the coolest vintage shop in Melbourne.

Ah looks like I’m getting too old for those sorts of parties…where bands play ‘noise’ and the lack of party content is excruciatingly unbearable. And I don’t know why I have ink chalk on my face…But at least the good news is the one of my besties is engaged! So happy for you hun, congratulations Christine!
very cool jacket. that party sounds like the worst thing ever. at least you looked cute!
Thanks hun, I found it in the op shop!!!

new post by me
perfect, as always!
ooh! i love the stripes with the oversized blazer! ugh, i’m with you on getting “too old” for certain parties. why it takes so long for a band to sound check is beyond me. JUST PLAY ALREADY!
Exactly! Most of the people are too drunk to have perfect pitch anyway!
Start fr few yrs ago, i was already “too old” for participating these kind of parties! XD
Wish I can have chance to go to MEL in future!

[…] Recently thanks to the influence of Sara Phillips’ new collection, seen here, and watching all 3 episodes of Toy Story, as well as seeing the trailer of the Temple Grandin film featuring Claire Danes, I have started to unleash the cow girl inside. Although going for the Western look, I didn’t want to look too cliche with typical cowboy boots so I took these boots with perforations out for a spin. These Fendi ankle boots were a souvenir from Milan. They are staggeringly tall but surprisingly comfortable. I wore them recently here. […]
