Everyone loves Irina Lazareneau. The Romanian- born Irina is a gorgeous model with porcelain skin, twiggy limbs and international stardom. She is a very popular runway model, breaking the record for the most runway shows in one season and was rivaling Kate Moss in beauty/popularity stakes in terms of the fashion industry as well as the social scene. Apparently, she ‘stole’ Pete Doherty right under Kate’s button-nose and was even engaged to him for a while. She has been the face of major campaigns such as Chanel ( see below), Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Lanvin and Versace, and has been the muse and first face for Philip Lim. Lucky girl. A singing model definitely has her appeal.
These photographs of Irina in the oriental dresses and jewels are just amazing. Don’t you love the chiffon Chanel dress above and the elaborate neck adnorments below?
Because of her quirky nature, her outfits are an eclectic mix of tomboy and rock-star style. I saw her on Fashion TV once and when asked about her views on the heavily made-up looks of a John Galliano for Dior show, she said with a straight ( and colourfully painted) face in her cute Canadian accent: ‘I think we’re going for the natural look here. This is what I look like when I wake up…’ I was shocked to see a model with a sense of humour.
I love the man-style outfit in black and white. I think that is a Pauric Sweeney bag she is carrying. She looks a little like Daisy Lowe in this photo.
Here is Irina wearing a straw fedora with a pal, must be a model friend.
Such a social butterfly. There really is no dull moment when Irina is around. I love her flowing dress with her gladiators- such a modern take on the classics. Is that Leigh Lezark laughing in the background?
comment on Irina’s 1st photo in Chanel- I lurve nude + black! Beautiful timeless colour combination
Wow I really like her style of fashion. It’s quite eclectic. The gladiators are awesome! Hahaha although the fact that she dated Pete Doherty makes you have to wonder if she’s a fruit short of a basket =P
I thought she was Romanian? You said she had a Canadian accent?
