On my way to the Lourve last year, I spotted a rather unusual looking sculpture in the window of a gallery. At first glance, it looked like a galvanised bonsai tree, but my curiosity drew me closer to the window and my eyes widened with bewildment. After picking my jaw off the ground, I took a photo of this amazingly crafted ‘tree’.
I had to make this picture big enough for you to apprieciate the details. Judging by the congestion and clustering of the bodies, this sculpture gives me the impression of angst, desperation and struggle. No wonder it was so alluring. I am kicking myself for not have found out who the sculptor is. Whoever he or she is, perhaps this is their ‘tree of life’.
It’s a very interesting piece. I went to the John Brack exhibition recently, that was very good. It was interesting to see his transitions throughout his life through his muses.
You guys love buying stuff……if on your cc it must be overloaded now hehe!
