SARA PHILLIPS

Being the protégé progeny of Longina Philips, an acclaimed Australian textile print designer, it is only intuitive that Sara Phillips would become a fashion designer, and one that has a natural talent for digital prints. After studying at the prestigious East Sydney Design Studio under Nicholas Huxley, Phillips worked for Jayson Brunsdon and Saba before starting out on her own in 2007. Having been mesmerized by wondrous illustrations at her mother’s design studio since youth, Phillips’ designs feature exclusive and sublime picturesque prints in feminine shapes. I stocked her pieces at the boutique because of her ability to balance classic tailoring with fluid silhouettes in unique shapes. Every Sara Phillips garment is made from fine natural fibre that ensures their longevity and charm. Masterfully creating suiting and dresses from sensual silk to soft suede, Sara Phillips is a designer after my own heart.
