Recently the beautiful young designer Salita Matthews visited our boutique. This stunning beauty has fashion in her blood. She has yearned to become a fashion designer from a young age, thanks to an upbringing that included visits to her grandmother’s silk factories in Thailand.

Matthews studied a diploma in Fashion and then worked as a stylist in New York and Los Angeles for a freelance photographer. She also has experience in fashion manufacturing and production in both Australia and Bali. She launched her self-titled label in 2007. The Salita Matthews label is beautiful, exotic and imaginative. Her collections are inspired by her travels and her east meets west upbringing, combining unique embellishments, quality fabrics and rich colours. Recently she was voted as one of the ‘Top 50 most stylish Queenslanders’ by Courier Mail’s. And it’s easy to see why…
