We had the pleasure of having a stunning Chadwick model come visit us. I knew from first glance that she was a model and just by the sound of her name, I knew it was French. So chic!

Her gorgeous sherling vest is Topshop, Burberry bag, vintage brogues. And you also want to know what the gorgeous mannequins behind her are wearing?

From L to R
Alldressedup one shouldered top and balloon skirt with pockets, Aris Geldis necklace
Sara Phillips one shouldered kimono style dress with Mawi necklace and Felder Felder leather studded belt
Sophia Kokosalaki dress with Aris Geldis necklace

And we are delighted to showcase our favourite skirt in store- Karla Spetic’s printed ‘Highway’ skirt. Wearable piece of art.
Worn with Alldressedup silk blouse, Felder Felder chain belt and Repetto kid leather sling bag.

One of the hottest designers on the international market is Christopher Kane. He launched his eponymous in 2006 and since then, he’s been successful in every collection he has conjured up. Recently his collaboration with Topshop also won the hearts of many fashionistas from around the globe. I have selected just a few beautiful pieces he designed, using images from Net-a-Porter.
A cashmere biker jacket! How ingenious!! One thing everyone disliked about the biker jacket from the 80′s is that the leather was so stiff and cumbersome. Nowadays everyone prefers to wear garments made from soft fabrics that mold to your shape and feels luxurious on our skin. And you can’t get better than cashmere. How cute would this cardigan/jacket be with jeans and ankle boots, or a pencil skirt with stilettos? I like the ribbed, diamond and bauble details.

The next few pieces are just incredible. These dresses are pieces of wearable art. This cream sheer silk dress with scalloped details remind me of the current Chloe collection (see below), but in a more exaggerated form. I love the romantic mood it conjures and the curved hem. You will certainly turn heads and stand out from the crowd in this amazing dress. You could wear it night or day, I would not save it for a party, I would wear it going shopping.

The boudoir style garments from Chloe. Cute shorts in blush! Sweetness for the modern woman.
The next 4 Christopher Kane dresses are all ‘scalloped’ as well. I guess he really was onto something good. This is the Luca silk-gauze halter dress, a fabulous modern LBD. Halter-necks are so flattering on.

This dress has more of a ripple effect, I love the one-shoulder asymmetric cut.

You are probably wondering what the black wires are- they’re made from leather. Can you imaging how long it would have taken to make this dress? It is unbelievable. Very avant-garde. I love the ‘fins’ on the sides to give the lower half a fuller look.

Another sweet candy creation from scalloped ruffles. This looks like a 2 piece. I would put all of these pieces on my wall- Christopher Kane is a force to be reckoned with. I cannot wait to see his new creations. He really is able.

Bag Lady
I have just returned from an amazing journey to South East Asia. I spent 3 weeks in Singapore and Malaysia. I ate 5 meals a day, visited countless friends and relatives and missed Theodore too much. I also managed to squeeze some credit crunch during the trip. I will be sharing with you my favourite purchases from the holidays in the next few posts.
Two of my favourite souvenirs from Malaysia come from Marc Jacobs, in Kuala Lumpur’s KLCC. There were dozens of gorgeous leather totes on display, all on sale. I spent a few hours being indecisive. The shop assistant ‘Dax’ was so sweet. He was patient and lent me his calculator so I could try to convert Malaysian ringgit into Aussie Dollars. I practically tried every pair of shoes on display and held or touched every Marc Jacobs bag.
After much (and I mean a LONG time) consideration and contemplation…I finally decided on 2 items: a pair of purple suede Runway booties and the limited edition gold-bow-detail wrist tote.
pretty bows
goodies from Marc Jacobs
Here I am wearing my new purchases with a gold Toshop watch necklace and a lavender Massimo Dutti (a Spanish label I fell in love at first sight) frilly dress.
The booties are very sweet. I especially love how the cut-out tear drop shaped details are lined with mesh. And I cannot begin to describe how much I love this bag. It was a difficult decision but I know I made the right choice. I love everything about it- the size, the shape, the texture of the butter soft lamb leather, the wrist-bucklet and the big gold zip.
There are only two of these bags in Malaysia and I got the first one.

Here is Dax, the lovely young man who helped alleviate my indecisiveness.

Now I just need to wear the shoes and use the bag and not let them just hibernate in their Marc Jacobs boxes.
