Last week I was delighted to attend a Dumplings Master Class hosted by David Zhou, the owner of Oriental Tea House, at his new Melbourne Central restaurant. Thanks to my Shanghai heritage, making dumplings was part of our family’s weekly events so I enjoyed assisting other dumpling lovers with the craft. Hope you like the animated picture, hehe :) Dumplings are steamed, super delicious and healthy treats, I really should eat more of them than junk food…
Outfit: Vintage dress, earrings, bag and brooch; YSL ring (similar one here) , Habbot Torres shoes- available at their Pop Up and their online store now! The Habbot Pop Up boutique is located on Level 1 of GPO, opposite Belinda. I will be there this Thursday 10-3, please come and say hi everyone! We can play shoe-dressups! My vintage dress has an Orient print on it, I found a similar one on Net-a-Porter by J. Crew here (less than £100!)
Since we’re on the topic of Melbourne Central. I must tell you about the fashion exhibition from this Friday (2nd) to next Monday (5th). Located on level 2 Walkway of Melbourne Central, ‘From Here to There’ showcases Australia’s emerging fashion, accessory and jewellery designers. I can’t wait to check them out!
And the best news is that next Sunday 4th September 2-4pm we will have another decadent experience at the Oriental Tea House in Melbourne Central called ‘A Shanghai Tea’, a High Tea Workshop hosted by none other than the Ambassador of Glamour, the divine vintage stylist Candice DeVille. You may recall seeing Candice and I at a baby shower in this post. Candice will take us on a journey through the etiquette and elegance of a vintage High Tea with all the charm, flavours and delights of the East to the West. Click here to purchase your tickets and to find out more!
So, that’s all from me in the realm of fashion news. Have a wonderful week and hope to see you at one of these hot spots!
