Hello lovelies, how was your weekend? I was stoked to have my second weekend off in 2012 and attended a blissful engagement (where I met a loyal reader of my blog, from Perth!), a blessed Christening and a beautiful launch (where I met a friend I haven’t seen in over a decade!).
Out of these 3 I’ll share with you the most fashion-related one: the launch of Melbourne designer Cathleen Jia‘s new SS12 collection, courtesy of Couturing. The enchanted venture took place at Domain Flowers, where intricately hand-crafted floral creations provided the perfect backdrop for Cathleen’s delightful dresses and gowns, and our dear friends from Cupcake Central provided mouthwatering confections. I warn you, here are some serious eye-candy coming up!

With Max (Maxxie Blog) and Calvin (Vanity Press)

Blogger Michelle (Michelle Style Files) so polished and elegant, with Designer Cathleen Jia. Michelle is actually the face (and body) of Cathleen’s last collection!

With the divine Kyra Pybus (Pybus PR) and super talented Jane Hayes (Jane Hayes Consulting). Between these 2 ladies, they could take over the world.
Now after seeing all these dresses I’m sure you’re wondering where my little white dress is from. Well since you twisted my arm, I’ll tell you. It was a Christmas gift from hubby (then boyfriend) 7 years ago. Yes he has exquisite taste and I had no input in his fashion education *cough cough*. This is the first time I’d worn it. I adore white frocks (LWDs) but they’re not very practical. You can’t wear them to weddings, funerals and I can’t wear them to events that involve meals because of my tendency to drop food, sauces and cutlery on myself (and neighbouring parties). But I was determined not to be beaten by a white dress so here we are! Not a stain even after a 4 course Italian meal. A small step for a LWD, a giant step for Cecylia.
And the Hermes ring everyone commented on- Valentine’s Day present from the dearest man on earth. Hubby bought it from Madam Virtue , along with a matching scarf (Thank you Dean for pointing him in the right direction!). This is actually a scarf ring but I absolutely refuse to let the large diameter affect its wearability. This ring and I belong together! I sat another gold ring in front of it to secure it in place. Kinda like a seat belt.

I hope you have an amazing week, tell me what did you get up to on the weekend?
