You may recall in this post where I raved on about Melbourne eco-lovin’ designer Alex and his organic label SOSUME. (If you don’t, here it is again for ya). I was sent 2 Tees, grey and white. I actually love the white one more because of the cute pocket detail, but I wanted my readers to have the best one. Since youth my mother drummed into me that it’s better to give the best away. I can guarantee you that it will be softest Tee you’ve ever tried. So here’s a warning: you may never want to take it off…
To get you in the mood for a white weekend, here’s my latest take on the milky trend.
It used to be a joke amongst my friends that I should get a granny chain because of my forgetfulness and propensity to lose sunglasses. But recently a beaded glasses chain caught my eye at an op shop and its sheer beauty helped me erase the senility and taboo attached with it. It’s funny how time changes everything and trends can pleasantly surprise you like an anonymous love letter in the mail. The sunnies chain also doubles as a necklace!
Not sure if it’s because I’m attending 2 weddings within 3 days and since there’s no way I can wear white to these events, my rebellious nature has stimulated a desire to take the clean look to the streets. This year I’ve decided that I need to learn to adopt the Celine effect – embrace minimalism and instead of allowing clashed prints and bright colours always take centre stage, let the shapes and lines walk the talk. My beautiful friend Jess and I decided to pose against our boutique photo wall after we discovered that we were both wearing chain belts. Hers is a vintage Chanel necklace from Paris and mine was a winning from Ebay.
Jess is wearing a Bezoar Cashmere dress and Topshop hosiery. How cute are those knee-high socks!
I’ve got a Karla Spetic top, vintage leather skirt, necklace and shoes and my very precious vintage Hiroko Koshino knit jacket (a generous gift from my mother-in-law) on.

I am an avid food fan and buffets really lure me in. Recently I visited the Crown Conservatory. They have very fresh sea food and charming desserts. As you will later see, I totally over-indulged in dinner and had to loosen my snake-skin belt.
I opted for a sweet white minidress, suede wedges, these are my most comfortable shoes to date. I have stood in them for 12 hours and they will provide ample support. I made my jade-pearl-onyx beaded necklace the night before. My snake skin belt was a vintage souvenir from Berne, Switzerland, and the Bally bag, a vintage souvenir from Spitalfields, London.

This was my 1st course. I really piled it up. Told you I was a glutton. The food is so fresh, waiters remove all food after a certain time. The oysters were delicious too.
Beautiful desserts – tarts, cheesecakes, meringues, lemon tart, mousse, jelly and cakes. I was in sweet heaven.

I don’t think I have met anyone who doesn’t like blue, or Alexa Chung, for the matter. Blue is a great colour- the colour of the ocean, of pretty eyes and gorgeous frocks. I have a blue Pauric Sweeney bag and I tend to wear blue a lot in summer, see this post.
