OK before you think I had that kind of cash to burn. Stop and read:
A few weeks ago I had really a full-on day. I got up early to head to South Melbourne for some personal shopping with clients who had won a major competition. They got $2500 to spend at anywhere they like in South Melbourne and they had a chaperone, a stylist, moi. This couple was lovely, they spent most of their wins on their future wedding! And right before Christmas! I can’t think of a better time to win money! And guess what? They spent it in one hour! What a record!
I love doing personal shopping. I do it a lot for friends when I have free time. In fact since I was young many have told me that I should be a personal shopper, because of my adoration of shopping and my magpie eyes at scouting out lovely things but I didn’t realise back then that it was a real profession…
Anyhoo, this is not a public resume, I actually wanted to share some photos from my cousin’s engagement party, which I attended afterwards. That night I also attended a runway show…you’ll have to wait for the next post to see all the pictures.

This is the most professional gear I could dig out of my wardrobe- vintage tuxedo shirt, tweed jacket and my new Alldlressedup pants which I refuse to take off, and my Miu Miu patent courts. The jewellery should look familiar to you- Mawi Dynamite necklace, Damselfly ring (ok this is a newie) and my big mamma vintage watch. This watch keeps me away from being late.

There was so much food, this is the dessert. The future-groom baked 6 apple pies! Pavlovas and brownies also satiated our sweet teeth. Luckily I wore loose clothing so I could have thirds =P But I still couldn’t help myself when I saw these carved fruit…

It was a big family day out, so kids ran between our legs. As you know, I’m a lover of all things cute and beautiful, that’s why this hand-knitted zebra toy didn’t escape my little eyes…

So in love with these pants, they are the most flattering and comfortable pants I own, even better than these...

You are the apple of my eye.
Happy New Year everyone! Are you pumped about 2011?

Icecream with a twist- namely nuts and spiced fruits.
A rather huge creme Brulee.
Pear and ricotta thing with syrup. It was sickly sweet but I managed to polish off the plate.

My Paris guide book had told me that desserts are not this restaurant’s strong point. Perhaps they have read the review too and have since elevated their sweet standards. The chocolate praline cake was perfect to top off my 3 course meal.
