I think I’m addicted to silk shirts. I wear it to everything, from plane rides to events to sleep. When in doubt, I pull one out. They are the perfect companions for pants, jeans, shorts and skirts. Remember that a silk shirt can even be worn as a skirt, as demonstrated here! If I were marooned on an island, all I need are silk shirts.

Introducing my new love: the printed Nikicio silk shirt. From afar, it resembles a reptile print, but up close you will discover something completely unexpected. See? It’s like I’m wearing jumper, but not… I’ve ordered the matching pants too, can’t wait for them to arrive to complete the matchy look!

It’s been a while since Theodore has graced Cecylia.com, sorry everyone! Here is our dear pooch getting the ‘cute’ treatment and becoming acquainted with my vintage Roberta di Camerino bag. I learnt about the couture label when I was in Milan. Giuliana Camerino was highly innovative, she was the first handbag designer to use richly textured fabrics such as velvet, previously reserved for clothing only, to create her renowned bags. Her celebrity following included screen legends such as Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor. I was smitten by her life tale. Now whenever I go vintage shopping my eyes are always peeled for her signature gold R’s. Roberta di Camerino pieces can be found at ML Vintage.

You may recall me wearing my suede sandals here last. My lovely soft Habbot shoes are now on sale! Habbot has a new Pop-Up store at 589 Chapel St South Yarra! Pop in and grab a pair!

Life is about moments – and the final Give-away of 2011!

Happy new year my lovelies! This is the final blog post of 2011. Man have I had a ball this year, and I couldn’t have done it without you! You have no idea how much your readership, comments and subscriptions mean to me. Before I post anything, I consider you- my reader, what things would tickle your fancy? Theodore for Sarah Conners and Merry Christmas!

As many of you know, our chihuahua Theodore, is blessed with handsome looks and dashing personality, but did you know that he can also act?

Theodore was recently hand-picked by Melbourne bag designer, Sarah Conners, to be featured in her short film for her new SS12 Aqua collection, the divine python range. Theodore was trained by Luke Hura, the legendary animal handler who also trained Red Dog. The ladies in the film were styled by my beautiful friend Sally (Styled by Sally). Needless to say, I am a super proud mom and we hope that you enjoy viewing it! See if you can spot me in a very tiny cameo appearance :)

Thank you Sarah for this amazing acting opportunity for Theodore! And for demanding the python spit him out afterwards… :)

Can’t believe Christmas is this weekend! How are you all celebrating the Lord’s birthday? What are you all doing during the holidays? I hope you are off to an exotic destination or get to chill at home with lots of friends and food! Exquisite Edenborough Evans Double Ring Gift-Away

Hello hello dear! An exquisite jewellery gift-away awaits you!

I am so thankful to the beautiful Jane Hayes who introduced me to the ladies at Edenborough Evans. Ever since meeting Anna at the Arabella Ramsay VIP night where I purchased a DIY-engrave necklace, I’ve been besotted with their striking jewellery line, inspired by wax seals from Renaissance and Medieval eras. Literally I have spent hours drooling over their online store.

I caught up with the ladies recently and it turns out that we attended the same high school. Already being picked up by major department stores and boutiques across the globe, Anna and Kate are still the sweetest and most down-to-earth girls you’ll meet. I asked about the name of their label. ‘Edenborough was our mother’s maiden name. She passed away a few years ago from cancer, and Evans is the last name of our friend, Jo Evans, an incredibly stylish lady and socialite, who unfortunately also passed away from cancer.’ Fighting back tears and emotions, I cling tigher to my DIY necklace. Edenborough Evans jewellery evokes precious memories and embraces rich European traditions.
