I’ve always wondered if there was an online mega-beauty-boutique. Kinda like a Net-a-Porter for skincare and beauty products. In Australia, I know there’s Mecca Cosmetica, where I stock up on Kevyn Alcoin mascaras. But recently, I discovered LUXOLA.COM! It is created by skincare-product addict Alexis Horowitz-Burdick, who for years couldn’t find reliable and efficient beauty e-commerce platforms. I was recently asked to review some Luscious Cosmetics products from Luxola. They are cruelty free, and my cosmetics bag desperately needed replenishing, so it was serendipitous.

The mineral foundation arrived just before my L’Oreal foundation bottle emptied. I love the creamy texture and how perfectly it blends with my skin. Not bad for choosing the tone online hey? It contains no oils, and the formula is infused with minerals, vitamins and deep sea water. I feel exotic already!

The Curl Addict Mascara is just that. It curls. And it’s addictive. The lightweight bristles are soft and gentle. Each stroke feels like a massage for my lashes, giving them a little nudge to look upwards.

The Catwalk Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner doesn’t disappoint. The skinny tip glides on effortlessly and has staying power. I’ll be practicing cat-eye strokes with it!

All the products have surpassed my expectations, especially the Master Lip Gloss Palette as featured in these photos. I don’t know the celebrity makeup artist Shahzad Raza but his palette is ingenious. 5 colours are encased in a sleek palette. The colours take me from morning to night and the formulation is not sticky, so I can still wear my hair down in the wind. The precision lip brush is so handy, and more hygienic than my fingers.
