For someone who only started wearing makeup in the past few years, I only know the basics: mascara, blush and foundation. It’s not that I was ‘born with it’, far from it, I was just a late developer. After being on numerous sets for styling and watching make up artists create magic with their brushes, transforming models with wands of powder and strokes of colour, I’m intrigued. A little while ago I met Dean Nixon of Master Makeup, celebrity makeup artist, Herald Sun beauty columnist and product developer, at the Fashionista’s High tea at the Park Hyatt. We hit it off right away and have teamed up to create makeup tutorials for you. I know that many of you have far superior makeup knowledge than me, but with over 25 years of industry knowledge (what’s the difference between BB and CC creams? How to create the best natural brow…), a list of accolades even bigger than my shoe collection and having worked all over the world, Dean will be revealing exciting beauty secrets in these tutorials. First up, “How to Create the Natural Look”, because we all want to look good without looking like we even tried…

What do you think? How would you wear this ‘Natural Look’?

I think this tutorials are so useful. Good job¡¡ This look is perfect for daily life.
Great video & some good tips there!
That was really interesting to watch, thank you for sharing! I like how Dean used both bronzer and blush – I always thought it was one or the other, haha! The natural makeup look is a good one to master too. First time I ever wore makeup was for my school formal actually! My aunt was really into makeup so was great at helping me get ready, and gave me a lot of her old products to play with. :) I went from using it for nights out to using it everyday for work to wearing it every single day. Now I tend to just wear it for work and stick to a plain BB cream on the weekends if I’m not feeling up to a bare face :)
Wow you are lucky to have such a great aunt! You’re right, the natural look is great for work and weekends you don’t need to dress up too much :D I’m still learning!
hehe yes she taught me so much, she is very kind! :)
I enjoyed the video and learning along with you :)
That’s a very nice video! And it definitely looks like a great collaboration! :)
