The past weekend has held too many memories to count.  My husband, Chian, our chihuahua Theodore and I have driven over 1000km and visited some iconic restaurants, breathtaking localities and historic landmarks – all thanks to Hyundai’s Brilliant Road Trip.  We had a few technical difficulties over the weekend, but that didn’t stop us from putting together the following little clip of the highlights of the Brilliant Road Trip all set to one of my favourite songs from my youth.  Sure, it might not be the most polished, or the most serious, video you’ll see about rural Victoria, but then again, road trips are rarely polished and the best ones don’t take themselves too seriously either.

Hyundai suggested that we reflect on “Brilliant moments” while on the trip – like a beautiful sunset that makes us happy to be alive.   This trip comes shortly after our 5 year wedding anniversary and also marks the 10 year anniversary of our first date – back in our student days.  Hubby and I realized on this trip how blessed we are to be able to spend 1000km in a car together (albeit an awesome car) and 10 years of our life together and still come out the other side as best friends and even more in love.  Our journey together may have just begun, but we know that, together, the next 1000km are going to be just as surprising and joyful as the last.

So there’s your answer Hyundai – sunsets are great, but True Love is Brilliant.

Love the video! So many cute animals, the wombat would have been amazing to see in person too! I’ve only ever seen ones in zoos, never in the wild. It didn’t seem bothered by your car at all!

Really like your road trip outfits as well, the printed skirt in the first two outfits is perfect :)

We couldn’t believe our blessings when we ‘ran’ into the wombat- amazing footage on our phone :D not the clearest but still gold :D That Karla Spetic skirt has been well-kept for a road trip :D
