I rarely wear black, but when I do (See here and here), I’m quite serious about the getup. Have had this 40s frock for the longest time. Wore it to a funeral and my graduation. The irony. But it wasn’t until this little number met its match in the accessories department that I allowed its feature on the blog. Recently I paid Parisian Street Society a visit, and ooh la la, is it not every French accessory addict’s dream-come-true?
Vintage 70s Christian Dior Pink & Jade Cabochon Cross Brooch
Vintage Christian Lacroix Cross Pendant featuring Flower & Butterfly
Vintage Dress, earrings & Bag / Christian Lacroix Choker, Christian Dior Brooch from Parisian Street Society / Tom Gunn heels
Naturally I had to pose this cross-laden ensemble in front of a church, and none other than the majestic St Paul’s Cathedral. To many Melbournians, St Paul’s is an iconic house of prayer and sanctuary, and an architectural semi-gothic marvel. For me, it is also my old stomping ground where my friends and I performed 3-part Cantatas during our youth.
What do you think of the return of the ‘Cross’ trend?
