Hello lovelies, welcome to my very first VLOG! On shoes, of course. Introducing my bag’s new friends: Flipsters! Watch the mini-clip and then read the interview from the Flipster designers!

1. Finally! A solution to sore feet! Thank you for creating these ingenious shoes for women everywhere. Please tell us how Flipsters, your creations originated.
One night we were out and about in Sydney when one of our female friends complained that her feet were sore from her high heels. It wasn’t the first time we’d heard something like that and it lead to a discussion about fashion, heels, and of course sore feet! We quickly realised high heels aren’t going out any time soon, so we better come up with a footwear solution to help women get home comfortably. From there Flipsters evolved into a “take-anywhere” shoe for pedicures, the beach, travel, and (as originally planned) getting home at the end of the night.
2. Rick and Ben, your design and marketing background, respectively, are a match in shoe heaven, how did the two of you become business partners?
We are old friends from high school days, and we each found ourselves finishing university a few years ago. We’d both thought about starting a business and when the Flipsters “light bulb” moment hit we got to work putting together a few prototypes and getting feedback. Without really thinking about it we became totally involved in the idea and it wasn’t long before we’d gone 50/50 on our own business. Being friends as well as business partners is really helpful because there’s a lot of inbuilt trust and open communication that happens from day one.
3. Your innovative designs have attracted a multitude of customers worldwide, tell us more about the different products Flipsters offer and their practicality.
We started with the folding flip flop because it was unique, innovative and something we thought was particularly Australian. While the original idea was just to solve high heel pain we subsequently sell our foldable flip flops to beauticians (post-pedicure), travel stores, gift shops, and fashion stores. After that we decided we needed a winter version so we created Flipsters foldable ballet flats. We’ve also released a handy high heel carry strap to carry your heels when taking them home. We’re now working on some beautiful new shoe ranges, and some very innovatively designed women’s fashion accessories which we can’t reveal just yet!

2.Rick的设计背景和Ben的市场营销学位使他们成为一对天造地设的鞋牌搭档,你们怎么合伙的?
我们曾是中学的好朋友,几年前大学毕业. 我俩都想过做生意,所以当我们讨论起Flipsters这种鞋子的时候, 我们设计了一些原型然后得到了一些反馈.不知不觉地,我们已经开始深入地参与这个生意, 不久我们成为了百分之五十的合伙人.我们是朋友,因此自从第一天友谊,信任和良好的交流帮助我们的合作关系.
3.你们的创新设计吸引了成千上万个顾客,请你告诉我们Flipsters其它的产品以及它们的实际性.
一开始我们设计的是一双能翻的拖鞋因为它既别致,又创新,而且特别’澳洲性’.本来的主意是为了解决高根鞋疼痛,很快我们将能翻的拖鞋卖给美容院,旅游店,礼品店,和时装店. 后来我们发现需要冬天版所以我们制造了能翻的芭蕾舞鞋.我们还推发了一个很便利的高跟鞋背带让女士们能更方便地带它们回家. 目前我们在创造一些漂亮的鞋子系列和一些创新的服装附件,但我们战时不能透露!

HA! Loved “Cecylia later”. Great product. I shoved 4 pairs (it was a week after all) of flats into my hospital bag, because damn it I was going to be fashionable, hospital gown or not. Wish I knew about these at the time would have been a great space saver and they are really cute styles.

Haha you are adorable, best vlog ever! My problem with shoe changing is – what do you do with your heels when you’re wearing the flats?? I suppose one could also carry a fold up eco bag so you can travel in flats/cart heels then stash the bag & flats in your clutch…maybe it needs to be incorporated into the flatties pouch!
I carry my heels in a paper bag, so that when I get to the event, I change from the flats into heels, throw the paper bag out and then voila :D
