Recently the Next Blogger Network approached me to style a unique outfit reflecting my personal taste with this beautiful 40s inspired midi-dress, I searched high and low in my wardrobe for something that speaks true of my style, ‘quirky elegance’, attempting to match and not to match at the same time, trying to compliment a myriad of textures, and finally, found a balance between subtle and outrageous. Yes they are real claws…
I see you’ve been eyeing my little shirt collar! Last week I accidentally burnt one of hubby’s shirts (read: bad wife) whilst ironing. In these couple of years, I have killed quite a few of his shirts, thanks to my inability to not multi-task and my slight ADD antics. They used to just end up in the bin but this time the precious DIY opportunity shone its light on me. Plus, saving the collar and the sleeve cuffs actually completely justified the over-heating incident. I didn’t have time to jazz it up so just added some animal brooches (the lazy method). I rushed straight from work (at the vets) to my makeup artist’s place, didn’t even have time to brush my hair, so all credit to Vicki for making me look decent.
