Hello hello! Lately you’ve heard me talk a bit about a new shoe label I’ve fallen head over heels in love with – Habbot. Habbot is the only Australian shoe label where all the styles are made in Italy. With many shoe designers moving production to the land of the Orient, Annie Abbot still stands firm with her Italian manufacturers. Despite increased production costs, difficulty with logistics and language barriers, an ex-buyer of Net-a-Porter and former business strategic manager of Sass & Bide, does not waver to deliver the very best to shoe lovers Down Under and across the globe. As an avid footwear fan, you have probably seen a glimpse of my shoe-drobe (See here to rejog your memory), I am so passionate about Annie’s shoes because they are unique, beautiful and oh so comfortable. For those of you who have visited Annie’s Pop Up store in the magnificent GPO you would be familiar with the beautiful Sarah Hankinson mural and Annie’s giraffe sculpture. For friends across the globe, here is a virtual tour :)
Sally, personal stylist ‘Styled by Sally’, came to visit us, she has the Habbot Torreblanca shoes. To read more about Habbot, the Age recently published an article about the small business owner here.
The Habbot Pop Up store: Level One GPO until Mid October.
I hope that you are having a beautiful week, wearing beautiful shoes. Here’s a shoe fact for you, did you know that the concept of having left and right shoes was only created over a century ago? How unthinkable!
